just been out in my s2 sports tourer and just wanted to compare how my brakes work with others drivers, there just standard discs and pads

they seem to bite quite well and operate ok but just wondered if you should be able to lock the wheels up?
as i've tried and can't :0P
the brake pedal has a hard feel to it which i think is normal

I dunno, half the posters on here contemplate the demise of their engine or gearbox, and your just checking that your brakes are the same as everyone else

Hmmmmmm now where did you buy this quality Elise from

PS They sound fine to me

You can lock them up but you really have to give them some welly to get them to lock in the dry (in the wet its a different story).

When driving hard in the dry mine ony ever lock when you cock somthing up.

Should be able to lock them Just requires decent speed and pressure. Also how quickly you apply them affects it. If you are too quick on the pedal it can cause early lock up.

How old is it btw? Apparently brake fluid is a recommended change every service, but not part of the service. Seems criminal to me!

I have no issue locking my NSF up under sharp braking....leads to some interesting moments.

As for the brake fluid, I had mine serviced about 1k ago and they were advising that I change it with the rear pads (so in about a week or so). Anyone done this, ie how easy is it for a mechanical numpty?

edited for typing numpty reasons!!

Standard brakes are shockingly bad.

Its easy to lock them up drive upto 70mph, hit the brake pedal hard don't lift off.
