Clicking From S2 Brakes.
Discussion
Hi All,
Can anyone help? I know its really hard to diagnose a "noise" on a forum but has anyone else experienced this. Basically when the brake pedal is pushed there is 3 or 4 clicks from the brakes.
Its not the actual pedal, its loud enough to hear over the engine noise when moving. This clicking occurs whether the car is stationary or not. I have been outside the car and its louder on the n/s front.
Do you think a brake strip down and rebuild would cure, or could it be something else.
The car is going in to be serviced in about a week or so so I want to know what it is first so a) the dealer doesnt rip me off and b) so i can tell the dealer what to do, because they dont know themselves most of time.
Any thoughts appreciated. (Its an 18month old or so S2 so still under warranty and thus to be serviced by dealer)
Thanks
Dave

I wouldn't worry too much, if it's under warranty, just insist that they look at it.
If it does it when stationary, that rules out bearings and stuff, so it's likely that the pads are moving in the calipers or something like that. Is the braking performance ok i.e. it stops in a straight line without pulling?
