So what is best for fast road use (90%) and normal road use (10%)? current brakes are incredibly poor. Don't want squeel and would like to avoid CL's. Any thoughts? Options outside of Pagids?

if your talking road only, then Mintex 1144's or Mintex F2's

Yes, they will wear out and give of brake dust, but they won't squeal, feel nice and work.

Another vote for 1144's. Brilliant initial 'grab', really inspire confidence

Another vote for MINTEX 1144.

Noticed Eliseparts also do MINTEX 1155. Not tried these.

don;t unless you exceed the limit;s of 1144's, they are harder, last longer, but loose some fo the nice 'feel' that 1144's have.

F2's impressed me as the next step up.

I used 1144 (in an Exige) on the road and was very happy, dusty but the dust just hoses off. Not the horrible metallic clag from sintered pads.

I put new discs and Mintex 1144's on my Europa S when I got it and the brakes have been good since. As mentioned you do get quite a lot of dust but that is the only problem.
