Can anyone recommend a good product for rejuvenating & coluring the leather on S1 seats? my interior side trims are a little scuffed where your feet rub the sills on the way in & out, and I'd like to bring it back to its former glory! Anyone tackled this already?
Cheers,
Richard

I use a leather conditioner from Autoglym. Its sort of like a moisturiser and i think its very good.

I havent tried the cleaner, but a few "coats" of the conditioner brings back a bit of shine, but more importantly, stops scuffs from developing for a little while

Cheers Drag, a fellow from the office suggested going to a shoe shop and finding a matching colour shoe gloss. Hmmmm......

dont have that much experiance with leather interiours but do with leather sofa's. the shoe polish was recomended to me but a restoration expert to fill the pale cracks in the leather and the scuffing. to bring it back to life i would use whats called "hide food" white cream u rub in which makes the leather suptle and gives it back its gloss.

Haven't tried it yet in the Elise, but in a previous life I found that saddle soap (from your nearest equestrian supplier) seemed to do the trick. It made the leather more maliable as well as adding a little more of a shine.

Could be worth a blast with the soap then some Autoglym or Zyphol to just finish the job off.

note to self. Clean the leather this weekend

Depends on the colour I guess? I did exactly that for my navy blue leather using some of the wife's blue shoe polish that I found under hiding under the sink - worked a treat - yeeeha!

Won't shoe polish come off on your clothes?

I'd get a leather cleaner and then use a leather food.

Just got my first zymol kit today. I guess that marks me as a complete idiot

Look for liquid leather on the web.

As well as the truly excellent liquid leather cleaner and conditioner they do colour products.

I've used Meltonian shoe cream before to restore leather and it works very well, especially when there is grime in the grain. In the owners handbook it says that they don't recommend leather food etc. Don't know why
