Can anyone tell me if it is easy to fit an adjuster for the passenger seat on an S2? I have lost about 10 bits of paper down the back of the seat and it would be nice if i could remove the darn things!

Also is there any advantage to adding driving lights to my elise, the headlights are excellent.......as long as its not dark!

Thanks

Not sure about the seat - the main problem will be installing the rails etc. on the chassis as I guess the seat will almost certainly swap onto a drivers seat subframe.

Driving lights are great at night as they come on with your main beam. I don't know what it's like without - depends how much night-time driving you do as to whether it's worth it.

You'd need to get the front clam off really I think - main question is whether the wiring is there anyway (I suspect it will be) and if so you need the lights, brackets and a new front grille.

I reckon you're probably looking at £500 quid minimum inc. labour for the lights alone.

Eh!

You must be kidding (then again knowing lotus....) I want the lights not a new bloody car! I would have to be VERY VERY sure the driving lights would make the difference!

www.eliseparts.co.uk - click on lighting. They've got the driving lights set there for £200, easy installation as the wiring is already there.

As for the adjustable passenger seat - could you purchase the driver seat from a left hand drive car ( guess they'd have the runners already?) Might be best to ring Hethel direct on that or check ebay.

If you go to your friendly lotus stealer they can supply you with a LHD drivers seat runners.

Fitting driving lights isnt to much of a problem as the wiring is already there and as mentioned before eliseparts do a kit. You just need small fingers to do up the lower screws!

They make a HUGE difference - thoroughly recommend you install the kit! I wouldn't be without them.

Not sure if it's the case with all versions but on my 111R the passenger seat is very close to the left hand chassis member at the widest part of the car.

The driver's seat is set 1" to the left and has more room to slide.

I don't think there's space for the passenger seat to slide on mine.
