A bit of advice please.

My S2 requires a new screen due to some serious stone chips (not repairable).

I've spoken to 2 main dealers - one say £800 because front clam needs to come off and the other says no bodywork has to be remove.

Which is right?

I cant see why the clam has to be removed but can you not get it paid for on your insurance. I think its £50 excess and it doesnt effect your no claims. Presumably you are fully comp?

The front clam has to be loosened - not taken off completely..so they are both partly right !...and yes it could come to £800 inc labour at a main dealer.

Hopefully youre insurance company are paying for it !

It is covered by insurance but I didn't want my insurers to think that I was trying to pull a fast one.
