I know all the usual about it being no good in the winter, but my prob seems to be that it still warms the air even on the cold setting, though not by as much as the hot setting. Should this be the case?

Thanks!

PS RE my post last thursday, I bought the low mileage silver one in the end, loving it so far!

tadts !

mine is just the same...as are most others...its just the design. Do you find you get warm air at foot level even though you have it set to cold and coming out of the top vents?

its probably the same as the VX220... And yes TADTS!

I was freezing last winter and did some investigation - What i found was a switch on top of the heater matrix - when you turn the heater nob on the dash it pulls/pushes awire that turns the heater switch on the matrix on or off... BUT.... it didnt push it all the way to the full heat position So i had to manually pushed it to the max. to get the heater to work....

Maybe your needs pushing to the minimum??

try bottom of page 5, temp flap leaver.... www.vx220.org.uk/forums/index.php?s=67a6f2f2d9e9de7fdc49c422222a4127&act=Attach&type=post&id=75767
