I am looking at investing in a Removable Steering Wheel!!

Ive been on eliseparts.com but I want one that works with the original steering wheel.

Does anybody know if you can get one from anywhere??

As far as I know you cannot make the original steering wheel removable!

I'm looking into getting the one on lotusecosse.com, just need to check that if I fit it with the 30mm boss (so that I can sit with my seat right back and my long legs less folded) that my short-arse girlfriend who sits with the seat right forward won't be too close to it!

I thought the original wheel was a momo?
If so then you can fit a removable boss.

Never understood why you would want one to be honest unless the car is parked on the street in a dodgy area.

The standars Elise wheel is perfect.

Like I said, I'm interested in the removable one because it will bring the wheel further back allowing me to sit with my legs straighter. The security aspect is of secondary concern to me.

Hi, I've got a Momo 'Corsa' (nothing to do with Vauxhall)! wheel on my 111s, came with the car when I it bought second hand and it has the quick release stuff.
The only time I've taken it off was to get my 6 foot 4 Dad in the driver side so he could frighten himself silly (Normally drives a 2 litre auto S40 Volvo).

So I can see the appeal if your tall but I'm 5'11 and I get on ok with it in place.

I'm 6'3" and I'm totally comfy with the seat right back. I can touch the binacle without stretching, so I'm not driving like a rep!

The only problenm I have is that sometimes the bottom of the wheel is too close to my legs and interferes with my steering. I think the wheel is a bit too small for a flat bottomed one though!

The only problem with mine is that the alcantara is wearing off and I've got to get it replaced... the biggest @rse of which is that I'll not be able to use the car while it's being done
