mines never leaked from new. Where are the drops - corners near windows - if so windows may need adjusting. Or just coming through the fabric - if so go down Millets or other outdoor shop and get some spray on tent weaterproofing spray like Fabsil or Nikwax - that will do the trick - usually do mine every 6 months or so.
My S2 short roof has leaked since I got it; nothing major, mainly a problem in heavy rain while you're driving. It seems to drip from the front of the side struts. I've mentioned it to the lotus dealer several times when it has been in for servcing etc and they have a look at it but never make it any better.
ah - yes, front of side struts - things you can do there...get some black silicone sealant and (neatly) go around the join on the end of the cant rails, where plastic meets plastic and plastic meets fabric etc. Just go around all the joins with the sealant, finish off neat with a damp finger (oo-er)and that should sort it.
the roof shouldn't leak -the only time water has got in my long-tailed s2 roof was when i parked on a slope (ie driver side higher than passenger)
moral of that story... "do not park on a slopes.."
suggest that at the next suitable opportunity you get the dealer to adjust the window closed position and the tension of the wire at the front of the hood.
however, if you're in the middle of a hurricane (ie near horizontal rain from the side) then expect a few drops
cheers

I am positive it isn't the window, it has been adjusted a couple of times just in case, as has the wire tension.
The water drips out of the front of the side strut; there is a hole/gap where the main bit of plastic (with raised arrows on it) attaches to the side bits of plastic. It is the pointed part that curves aound the window frame. Technical hey, I took a picture but can't work out how to attach it to the post.

Took my S2 to the dealer and mentioned leaks (while i was in because my front indicator fell out the body at 70mph - no BS!). They are ordering for me a new seal called a seal - cant remeber the name dammit! Basically the rubber comes back more from the upper trailing ege of the windscreen.
My 2 roof spars have developed stress fractures and are to be replaced as are my two front indicators which are the ones with a known defective clip.

thats a different 'finger' seal that the new 111R has - designed to catch more drips from the front corners of the cant rail....but if the roof didnt leak it wouldnt need them !
Arlo - that bit where its leaking from on your car - get some black silicone sealant in a gun from the DIY store, then appy it really carefully to all the joins - that sorts it out.
