MIL light - advice please!!

The orange MIL light came on last night - constant, not flashing. In the manual it advises to seek dealer advice asap.
However, this morning all seems fine - MIL light not on, though the engine is idling a bit higher than normal at just over 1000 revs.
Do you think I should give it a while and see if the light comes back on, or should I take it into the dealer?

just so you have a reply, yes take it to a dealer, wack it on the computer and put your mind at rest.
