On the front my car MK 1 elise 160 Sport i beleive it has protective coated film in various shapes/sizes and is on the sides under intakes too.
Is it wise to remove this or is it best left on?
Also will the paint underneath be brighter should i decided to remove it?
your thoughts please.
This is armourfend which is designed to protect the paint from stonechips. Unless it is badly discouloured I would leave it on (my car has a full 'beard' of stone chips)as its a lot cheaper than a re spray.
If you do want to take it off heat it up with a hair dryer and peel it off slowly.

Hi There,
I'd leave it on.
I've got a 5 year old, fully "amourfended" S1 111s and I'm not kidding when I say it practically spotless. I've seen the kind of mess stone chips can make.
I am truly impressed by the resiliance of the stuff, plus a reckon it adds a bit to the sporty look of the "special" elises.
I've heard it yellows with time but I'm not gonna see that on an orange paint job!
If you do decide to remove / replace it, I'd like to hear how you get on.
All the best
