Congratulations! Mine is a similar age, also a 220 with the standard y-spoke cast wheels, but not Touring Pack like yours, just the Sport Pack.

Enjoy!

Gorgeous.

How does it compare to the S1?

The S2 is far more refined than the S1 exige - In terms of styling I still think the S1 looks a better car, but I couldnt justify paying 25k + for a car that I sold for 17k!!

The performance of the S2 is better than that of the S1 due to the supercharger.

I think the ride is a little more firm in the S2 but I still find the car very comfortbale and easy to live with.

The additional creature comforts such as that of ipod connection and a better stereo are a welcomed addition in my opinion. The cabin is far quieter too and does not get anywhere near as hot as that of the S1, and I have had no need to use the air-con as yet.

To summarise, the S1 is a better looking car and more raw, but overall I think the S2 is a more superior package. I am delighted with the purchase and was worth the 6 year wait!

Only the 240bhp+ variants I think, so Performance Pack equipped cars, 240R, Cups, etc?

My Lotus is the S Touring pack and is the 218bhp model. - As stated, the performance pack has the extended scoop and the power increase to 240.

The 218 bhp is plenty for me, thats for sure!

Ahh I see, I wondered why some had long scoops and some didn't! Yeah I bet its plenty quick enough without, mines the girly none S unfortunately and its fast enough to be fun still

Don't think theres such a thing as a "girly" exige or lotus for that matter! They are all fantastic cars - I certainly am not capable of driving the car to its full potential, and I am fully aware of that.

A n/a exige would have been plenty powerful enough for me, only went for the S as it was within my budgeted limit, otherwise I would have happily bought the n/a version.

The Supercharged cars that didn't get the long-scoop (so just the standard S220s really) got the small plastic cap around the entry on the scoop, as seen on Twp's car here.

Got an Identical Exige S . My first Lotus and I love It.
Handling is the most impressive plus creature comforts
that my Westfield 3.9 Seight is lacking in.
