Hiya all

Ok so its raining and i haven't had it for a week yet but its amazing.
Traded up from a s2 elise 111s and this new car is so much better.
Couple of minor gripes with the finish but that'll get sorted out at a 1000 miles.
Opted for it in graphite with the touring pack with the lighter wheels (ok i only really wanted em cos i didn't like the black ones) and air con. Can't believe that i haven't got a passenger footrest though as in my old elise - is this right??

Can't wait for a dry day but then i've still got a few miles to go yet before its run in.....can't wait

congrats u lucky b*****

sound like u got riped off

The Touring Pack consists of Electric windows, Full carpet set with a lightweight aluminium passenger footrest, Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB radio, CD-R/W and MP3 player (not available in Japan), Full Alcantara trim, Sun visors and Interior stowage net.

Out of interest is air con in this car a luxury or necessity
Im my standard s2 it would be nice but its by no means essential.
Does the car get hotter inside than a normal elise

my exige s2 has a foot rest but its fixed with velcro, i am sure my elise one was bolted, exige passenger breaking can push it off. is your carpet short on the passenger side?

Hi, welcome to the club.
I thought that they all came with a footrest, mine did.It is stuck down with velcro so is easily removed. Worth talking to the dealer to see where it has gone.

Aircon is needed imho. These cars can get very hot inside in the summer and I wouldn't have brought one without it fitted. But I do have the worst colour for absorbing heat.

If you think it's good now, just wait until it is fully run in.

Hi all.

Yea i think me and the dealer will be having words, he assured me it didn't come with a passenger footrest but i thought he was telling porkies.

Yea it looks kinda weird 'cos the carpet does run short, no doubt i'll get it sorted along with the awful squeak thats coming from one of the screws that hold the roof in place.

But hey these are minor niggles for what is a vastly improved car over my old s2 111s.

IMO the aircon is a must in this car, it is noticably hotter than my old elise and the aircon does make a positive difference.

Anyway, today looks like it might stay dry, hopefully get it upto 600 miles this weekend and then i can start uppin it past 4500rpm.

quick couple of things chaps

1) put some godadamn photos up - especially yours Raja - wanna see titanium with silvery wheels

2) can you tka eth roof of? This was the subject of muchd ebate before it was launched, and the general opinion was yes, its bolted on but removable with Allen keys.....however I find this a little unlikely so would love to know whether you reckon you can or not.....

Yes the roof does come off, very easily.
I had to remove mine when I needed to take the seats out to fit the 4 point harnesses. But I didn't drive it like that. I brought the Exige because it had a roof, if I had wanted fresh air motoring I would have gone for a 111R.

Come on guys, get then run in and have some fun. I have already been to Bruntingthorpe and Donington in mine and I am thinking about doing another day at Donington soon.

Ok, as soon as its bloody dry i'll get the digital camera out and take a few pictures.

The roof does indeed come off and u can buy the convertable hood et all. i've been told that the dealer who was selling this, bell & colvin? has got in trouble with lotus for making this available for exige owners. But hey, i bought mine 'cos i liked it the way it was, might explore this option next yearnow, it sure ain't gonna be convertable weather before then.

hi all

I Have my s2 exige for 3 weeks now, got a ex demo with
2k on the clock.
Black touring pack & stage 1 exhaust too quite! it was on my car already but if your buying one get a stage2.
I have had a few problems with the car heater not working and one of the injectors is playing up, not
show stopping but still a pain.

I love the car looks mean goes well and handlng is
amazing, but watch out in the wet !

mustard, i think the big delay in getting the car was the car colour, 5 months compared to some customers cars arriving in 4-5 weeks, stratton tell me that its the only glacier blue car that they have orderd and as far as they are aware its the only one in the uk so the colour may be discontinued like you said in the earlier post, my elise was ice blue and glacier blue has a faint purple tint to it in bright sunlight, i love it and you would think i was driving a 130k lambo with the attention the car gets on the road.

Ice Blue Exige!!!!!
That's the most fantastic looking Lotus I've ever seen. Absolutely gorgeous!.
Just shows how much difference the colour coding and silver wheels make too.
Is it expensive to have the colour coding and wheels done?
Lotus should really offer the Exige like this as standard. Looks twice the price of one with black bits and black wheels.
If they used that car in their advertising, I think that everyone would buy Ice Blue, and it wouldn't be discontinued.
Incredible looking car mate, well done!!!!
