I've just spoken to them and they don't really deal with Lotus car's. they seem very honest and have taken my number, it's got no awful surprises and they seem to deal with trade disposals etc. Might just be a cheap good value car look's and sound's very good.

I spotted this on the Autotrader website today too. If it was red with a dark interior I'd be after it myself.

It's cheap ish but to be honest I think a lot of std S2's are so overpriced at the moment it's laughable.

Let us know how you get on please.

I'd say this car would normally be worth £16k from a dealer or about £15,250 private sale.

Anyone agree or disagree?

A dealer would probably have that up for more than £16K, probably nearer £17 - £17.5K

I thought about 17k but it depends on the condition etc, you can't really tell unless you can see the car in front of you it's all very well seeing it on the web, also it's winter now so I suppose that's bringing the price down to, it still sound's like a good bargain thou, I think it might have sold as when I rang they mentioned that a guy was coming to see it in an hour and I haven't been rung back ???

to put in perspective, dealer recently offered 16k for my s2 Race Tech, itg+janspeed, 9k miles, 51 plate against a new 111R. If the 111r had been a step forward, i probably would have gone for it.

cheers

seems an honest price and probably close to book price...most people advertising their cars ahve them up £1 or £2K higher than what they really sell for anyway...its still a 3 year old car thats worth well over 50% of its value...thats excellent depreciation in anyones book...even the top German brands dont manage that.

Nah thats a bit of a bargain. Thats worth 16k private, or a tad more. At least it would have been a month and a half ago when I sold my car. Not followed the market since then.

So either its a dog or he just wants to shift it on.
