Just a quicky,

Anybody know of any decent Lotus / sports car specialists near Leicester. I know about Storm but lets just say I have heard some "mixed" reviews.

Don't mind going to an independent. C service approaches so don't want to be "shafted royal" by a main dealer.

A mate mentioned a guy in Derby but has no idea who or where he is (great, thanks for that!).

Your thoughts greatly appreciated.

Difficult to express how I feel about Storm without disrupting the 'name and shame' policy. Nearest specialist for me after Storm is Nick Whale in Bromsgrove, so far been very impressed.

I'm Leicester based and had the same question. Ended up using Brooke Kensington down in Bicester (nice place to shop). They were excellent - ask for Simon. Also heard that Orchard in Northampton are OK or Nick Whale in Brum.

I'd also cross the one in Derby off your list too.

Mod edit: Please do not name and shame. The reasons for this are here: www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=123965&f=24&h=0

If you would like to share negative experiences and warnings with certain dealers, please do so in emails.

Not sure if theis infringes on the name and shame policy - but there are MUCH better options then the Leicester main dealer. MUCH, MUCH better, and MUCH, MUCH cheaper options too.

Many folks are travelling all the way to Cradley Heath, other side of Brum, to use Horizon. Never had a poor review. Great value, fantastic attention to detail and genuinely knowledgable.

Closer to home, try Lou at Tollgate Garage in Hinckley. First class engineer but he's trying to move to larger premises and reluctant to overcommit to the Elise brigade. Was in danger of getting overrun with the things earlier this year and didn't want to let folks down.

Did a service on mine a couple of weeks ago. If you're flexible on time, he's the the best choice locally.

Thanks Guys,

Lots of options there.

I'm thinking I might try the Bicester guy, fancy a trip to "the villiage" and have a look at all the things I won't be able to buy after stumping up for the "C"!

Cheers again.

You won't regret it, Simon has done wonders to my car every time it visits and I always walk away feeling like I've got a bargain.
