Silenced Decat on Sport 160 broken

Hi Driving home the other night in convoy with some Caterhams, the exhaust suddenly got extremely loud on my S1 Sport 160. Dropping the undertray off i have noticed the Silenced decat fitted has broken the weld on one side of the silencer and needs replacing.

There is a big difference in price between a stright through replacement pipe and a Silenced cat replacement so i considering the following:

- How much louder will the straight through pipe be than a silenced cat replacement?

- Any recommendations on a silenced cat pipe?

Can't you just get the one you have welded up? It has to be the cheapest option and you know how it'll sound.

When I had the decat on my s160 it wasn't that much louder to be honest, I was aware of a little more exhaust noise but not uncomfortably so. Only reason I put the cat back on was to make sure I'd be under the noise limits for trackdays.

Broken silenced decat pipe removed, just need to take it to the guy down the road to see if he can weld it. I cant believe the weld has completely sheered through
