Those of you running A048's or similar - do you change to proper treaded tyres (Toyo R for example) in the winter months or just take it easy in wet conditions?

I got through 3 sets of 48's rear until I swapped for Toyo T1r's for all year round, best thing I did.

A marked difference with the Toyos in the crap weather, over the 48's then?

Yokohama AD08s are the choice for most as a good all rounder, depends if you're looking to use in very cold/icy/snowy conditions though as 'proper' winter tyres will be far better.
T1Rs are not great, I found R1Rs were very good in the wet.

I use AD08s as an all-rounder. Superb, but as mentioned before, won't be a patch on a proper winter tyre.

I was very stubborn with sticking to the A048s all year round, against good advice on here, but eventually saw sense after getting royally bored of going through rears. No regrets at all.
