Please can you tell me what the colour is of the Exige pictured on the PH home page in the feature on "Lotus Execs speak out".

I've seen other Exige's (for sale section) in Chrome Orange but this colour seems to be a different shade of orange.

Gotta be chrome orange.

Lotus don't spec the Exige with any other colour that I would call "orange" and it certainly does not look like any of the yellows.

My motor is chrome orange and it looks different in every photograph I've ever taken of it! I think it must be the metal flakes in the paint reflecting sky tones or something?

In the flesh it looks great though!

Lets have a look then, update your profile with a picture, there can't be many Orange S1's about. My Norfolk Mustard Met is bright but yours must almost glow in the dark, bet it looks wicked!

Its Chrome Orange. Looks fantastic on the S2 Exige but I have been lusting after the Krypton Green after seeing the picture of the new Evo long termer.

As they said - If your going to buy a silly car make sure you get it in a silly colour!

Thanks for that - I'm actually looking for colours to repaint my Caterham and this one caught my eye.

Hooray - somebody else talking about colour

In the last thread that I mentioned colour to a wanna-be Elise owner it was dismissed as secondary

There was me thinking it is only the Cerbera forum that gets hung up on colour.

Elises - black is best - no questions

Sorry too boring and they usually look dirty.

I think you need something bright to really show off the lines of the car and also to help other road users see you better.

TOO BORING? Er, I beg to differ...

...use Meguiars 3-step and a black Elise will look like a stealth bomber. And you very, very rarely see them.
