Just wanted to say hello! have just bought my first lotus. its an x reg 111s in nautillus blue, i have come over from the fiat coupe 20v turbo camp and am finding rear wheel drive much more fun.
have had the car two weeks now and touch wood no probs yet and getting suprisingly good mpg, only one thing could anyone shed any light on a constant beep when trying to set the alarm? any advise is welcome!

It means one of the door sensors is not closing properly and the alarm isn't setting.

Take the car somewhere quiet (I mean, where you can be noisy) and follow the diagnosis procedure in the manual. It could be the front service compartment hatch or the bootlid or either of the doors. It might also be the internal sensor, which you can turn down. The manual will help you identify exactly which one.

Welcome to the nut house gray

Take it easy in the wet, especially if it still has Pirelli rubbers - they're universally recognised as being complete crap in the wet.

Love the Coupe T - nearly bought one myself last year but gearbox didn't impress me and it all felt a bit "distant". Anyway, I digress...

when you say manual - do you mean owners manual and service book?

I have a brand new, empty one here which I can let you have. Literally mint.

cheers
