I've got an Omega Seamaster, IMHO, I thought the Rolex was a bit 'Old Man' for me, Sorry.

I mean, if Mr J Bond can move onto Omega, it must be worth having! Her majesty's government believe in the product.... But I can't get mine to fire a laser or set off bombs? Just got to get a Aston Martin Vanquish to go with it.........

Er, no actually.

Lotus Elise - stripped out, bare bones, no frills, simple effective engineering, entirely driver focused machine designed to give optimum returns for minimal expenditure (on materials as well as cost).

Rolex - pretty much the complete antithesis of that if you ask me. More than .

Personally I'd say the perfect match would be closer to a Swiss Army watch.

I have an Omega Speedmaster.

Good enough for Herr Schumacher, good enough for me.

I love watches but not very keen on Rolex with the exception of the Daytona.

Elise and Omega seamaster Professional go hand in hand, sea masters make people look when you stand next to them at the bar and they just turn green and cover up their Tag, much like the elise it makes people look!!

My Breitling B1 seems to do the same thing, but to rolex owners!!!!!!!

What a load of bollocks! I would never turn green at someone who has paid a fortune for a watch which needs to be serviced. Its just jewllery.

Kinda with Dusty on that one, also have a Seamaster, but bought it for me, not with the intention of making anyone jealous, or getting noticed, I just like it.

I bought mine new off the internet at a 35% discount. Not because it was expensive, or wanted to turn people green or any other colour, but cause i liked it and it had 35% off! Each to their own i say

Tag Heure F1 Chronograph for me, except it's stopped and I can't afford a new battery!

Bit of a result actually, saved up a few hundred notes when I was a lad to buy a nice watch, kept going wrong, kept sending it back to TAG who finally offered to replace it with the current model which cost over twice what I paid for mine! - result.

By the way, I agree with the general feeling that a Rolex is way too "bling" for most Elise drivers!

If you were true Elise enthusiasts you wouldn't want a big watch weighing your car down!

"Performance through light weight!"

Rolexs are really showy and arguably very tasteless (no offense intended). Whats that got to do with an Elise?

You aren't a watch dealer or something?

Seamasters are a bit too common for my liking

The difference in different car owners was shown well last Sunday on the South Wales Ferrari Owners Club run (pics in the Ferrari section). It was part organised by Dick Lovett who are apparently taking over the Lotus franchise next year so there were a few of the Elise boys there.

The Ferrari guys were all there in designer jeans and Italian hand stiched shoes with their wives done up to the nines clutching their Louis Vitton handbags.

The Lotus boys were, how shall I put it, a little more casual

Good day though
