Lotus parts fair sunday 21st Nov
Discussion
Did anyone else go to the fair? I went with pockets stuffed with cash after shaking down the family for dosh in lieu of xmas and birthday presents through to 2007 to beautify and protect my beast (oh err missues). Wanted a shower cap (failed), headlamp covers (failed), driving light covers (tick), chrome heater bits (too expensive, cheaper on Ebay). Did end up with a windscreen wiper for £5, which I bought ready for when it is needed by which time I will have lost it, and a new immobiler 'just in case' and because it was only £15.
Overall, a bit disappointed. Noticed a definite split in attendees: Elise drivers younger and hipper, looking for performance upgrades and sparkly bits. Elite/Elan drivers older with untidy beards wearing Peter Storm anoraks and rooting through boxes of rusty bits and tools.

And there you have the essence of Stoneleigh!
I didnt go this year. Its a long drive and not much when you get there apart from having a wander around the car parks.
Not even Eliseparts or Race Speed there this year.
It would be better if it was in the summer so you caould make a decent drive of it but its too cold and miserable to go in November.
Yep was not nearly so good this year... Took me false beard and anorak to trawl through boxes of rusty bits for my classic +2 Elan, then donned my max power cap and shades to buy some bits for the Exige
- it caters for all owner types but big shame Eliseparts weren't there...
Worth the trip down just for the run (and avoiding home DIY!)and a gander at all the cars - did you see that NOS powered, extremely modded GT3 Esprit with the sub woofer in the passenger space.....
