Very quick question re the radio

As you can expect, with AM on in my car the sound is just about ok with the engine off but there is interference with the engine on. Can this be improved by 'grounding' the antenna? If so is this just a case of connecting the antenna retaining bolt to the engine lid hinge with an earth wire???

Not sure about the answer to the specifics of your question but in general the radio reception in an S1 elise is very poor
