Elise vs F1 Car

There was a discussion a while back in which Nightmare said he had a video of an Elise driving against an F1 car, but he had nowhere to host it. So he sent it to me to upload, but I forgot.

Anyway, here it is!

Although I haven't seen it, because it's .mov format and I refuse to install that Apple shite on my PC.
So please let me know if I'm inadvertantly hosting porn or something!

So what was the point, exactly? F1 car give Elise running start, then wipes the floor with it over a quarter mile of track. I'm so shocked. Or am I missing the point?

sorry - thats only the first of 3..actually the elise gave the F1 car a runnnig start and then proceeds to catch it over the next 3 laps...thats vid 1 with the elise getting slapped a bit! Will send the other 2 to Bonce!

The above link should work at the moment, it does for me. Although it will stop working in the next 24 hours or so because my website is moving to a new server and the DNS change is happening now. Even if nightmare gets off his backside and sends me the right files I will not be able to host them any more - any other offers?

I got the ExigeS2 + Apache movie from Top Gear.....absolutely class + one with an elise chasing an F40 (I think) + some 911s around a track.

Did anyone see Top Gear on BBC2 Sunday 19th Dec. They had an F1 car driven by the Stig that blitzed the track in 59 seconds - thats a good deal faster that the Exige S2 that was on the show months ago......so much for an Elise keeping up with one : (

OK so the F1 Renault caned it at 59s, but at 1m26s the Exige is no slouch.

Considering that it'll cost you a fair few million to purchase and run the Renault for a few laps and £35k for a loaded Exige I reckon it's a fair competitor!

yeah ok, the Exige does do well but it still pisses me off when any other machine beats its lap time - i dont like to see the Exige work its way down that board !

they should add a few speed bumps to the track and see how the F1 car gets on then : )
