Only had my elise for a couple of months and lost the back end on a roundabout yesterday - clipped back wheel on the kerb very hard. Anyone in the Chesterfield/Derbyshire area who can look at this? Hope I'm only gonna have to replace the back wheel.... gutted....

Sorry to hear. Have a good look around the suspension mounting points. Don't want to scare you but I think if these are bent/knackered then it's new chassis time.

Chin up mate, It happens to us all. You want to drive a Cerbera in the rain!

I am sure its not too bad, just make sure you get it checked over. If it is a 'worst case' then Insurance I guess?

Gutted for you mate, BUT pleased to hear it was only a small 'off' and nobody hurt.

Best get it to a specialist to have a full alignment check. If you're lucky, a new wheel and geo set-up, if you're unlucky.... well, that's why you pay your insurance.

Sorry to hear about that mate.
I bought my S2 from Gordon Lamb in Sheffield. Lamb's use the 'Body Workshop' in Chesterfield, so they should know their way around a Lotus. Based on Sheffield Road, Whittington Moor tel 01246 260411.
My mate lives in Chesterfield and he did exactly the same thing as you in his Esprit. He insisted that his insurers transport the car by trailer to Paul Matty Sports Cars at Bromsgrove in Worcestershire.

Another suggestion - John Bee on Abbeydale Road in Sheffield. They are a classic car restorer - very cheap but excellent quality work. Did a brilliant repair job on my front clam a few months ago and I'm having some stone chips sorted out there next week. Tel 01142 494883.
