Hello all - just bought my first Elise - a 2000 Sport 160 in silver!

Was trying to sort a few niggles with it over the week-end but didn't quite get round to sorting out the interior courtesy light - I'm sure there are three settings - On, Off and Courtesy mode (where when you open the door the light comes on).

Does anyone know if this is definately a feature of the interior light? If so, are there any common cures to fix it? I'm thinking it could be dodgey door sensors but the alarm works ok.

Thanks!

Hi, my 2000 S1 has on/off/courtesy mode.
However, courtesy mode doesn't work with the passenger door, only the drivers. I though it was just mine but I've been told that it doesn't work on any of them.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong though.

You're absolutely correct in that assumption. Try to think of the pin switches being alarm triggers and the drivers' door just happens to double up as a interior light switch.
