Blaupunkt Woodstock Stereo in a 111R

I have a Blaupunkt woodstock DAB 53 (Lotus supplied) stereo in my Elise. I am having nothing but trouble with it. It will skip, jog and fail to play a brand new (faultless) CD sitting at a standstill. When you are moving there is no point in playing a cd. I did think "no problem" I will use the SD card player. I have reformatted my entire collection, I have even completely re built one of my PC's so the file system is formatted FAT 16 but all I get is an error message whenever I try to play from the SD card. Has anyone else had these problems? Is the unit a good one? have I got a dud, should I send it back to the dealer?

I think you may have a rogue faulty unit there. Mine has no such problems. I can count on 1 hand the number of times it has skipped since I had it (September).

I would take it back to your dealer for them to take a look.

Wow! Westover Sports cars have been so incredibly refreshing! They are a joy to business with and the service is the best I have ever encountered. From what was just a mention in a passing conversation, Andrew has sourced a replacement unit and the service center are fitting it at my leisure. No technical problems with mine but the DAB and FM reception are poor (noted on here before) and the auto volume seems to have no effect.....is that because the liz is noisy and so the radio is always at max ?
