i'm thinking about one or the other, but do not know enough about either. any suggestions? Also, where are all the dealers quoting prices on the net? only found 1, which is unusual, or is there just the one fixed pricing structure?

Sorry to throw another product into the tracker pot, have a look at www.navtrak.co.uk
The RAC have a similar product 'keyguard'.
But these types of tracker are expensive

I was given short list from my insurance company of approved tracker types, so my choice was limited. Worth checking with them when you have decided which one to go for (just in case).

If you are buying it for peace of mind then that is up to you, however if you are buying it for insurance reasons then stop.

Firstly, my insurance company only wanted a nominal policy hike if I didn't have a tracker. I had a think about it; was I prepeared to pay a little bit each year, or a few hundred quid then a subscription fee ever year hmmmmmm - bit of a no brainer really !

tracker have a fixed pricing policy. give em a call. www.tacker.co.uk
