A heater mod that actually works
Discussion
After a bit of tinkering with the heater matrix and ducting, I have come up with a solution that actually seems to work.
I mean fairly hot air coming out, just like a "normal" car!
Firstly I made sure there was no leakage of air from the silver tube, a bit of duct tape ensured an airtight seal.
I then removed the clip which holds the heater wire on top of the heater matrix in place.
The lever on top of the box will actually go a little bit further to the left when the control wire is pushed in that direction, whilst holding the wire pushed in that direction, I put the clamp back on.
From the marks left on the wire I could see the wire was moved about 5mm further towards the driver's side.
The dial in the cabin will no longer go all the way to fully hot, BUT the heater does actually blow hot air into the cabin!
I'll get pics later when I have someone to help me open the bonnet ohmy.gif (see other thread)
Jim_Cross had told me about this before, but I hadn't seen it mentioned much on here.
