Hi
The ice blue charriot seems to be gathering loads of condensation on inside of screen over night. A real pain as no matter how well youve cleaned screen a wipe with a shammy and its all smeared again. Ive tried closing vents but only reduces condensation. Any tips.

daft question, but the carpets aren't wet are they? I had similar problem, dried them out and it's not too bad now. Another solution offered was to use the air con, it appears to demist quicker, but how/why I do not know.

Years ago my 1st Esprit used to suffer from this alot. I think it was initially caused by a leaking sunroof, so the interior just got very damp. I cured it one winter's day by taking it for a blast with the windows up and the heater full on until I was roasting, then I opened the windows and let all the damp air out then repeated this several times. It seemed to rid the interior of the moisture that had built up.

My Mondeo did exactly this and it was the same - a leaky rear light had allowed the boot carpet to get wet. Once I cured the leak and dried it out, no more problems.

I should point out that my Elise doesn't mist up that much... Racetech floor you see

Carpets dry, car only couple of years old. Moisture gathers on screen around vents. I will try long run with heaters on full blast.

Have you tried Fog-X? It's the Rain-X stuff for the inside of the car.

I think you may be right trouble is with the new race exhaust it will get lots of attention!!!! Tomorrow I will take it on a blast on a good little road I know in the depths of suffolk. So any farmers that might read this (none) keep your tractors in the yard.

bought cheap window stuff from supermarket which prevents misting up of mirrors etc...just leave a good kayer on and you wont need to demist again!!!

needs reapplication every few weeks though

I had a similar problem in a Galant Turbo, the heater matrix devloped a pin hole. By turning on the de mister, I was misting up the windscreen. I used rad weld.
