Is anybody out there running the Mintex 1144 brake pads from elise parts? (S1 Elise 111s)

I need to carry out a brake overhaul and will be using turbo grooved disks and braided cables, just not sure if I can stretch to 200 big ones for Padgids as well.

It's gonna be an expensive month with servicing and stuff so I was trying to save a few bob.

I currently use green stuff and don't have any major issues with them, although they do perhaps lack bite.

I don't use the car on the track and only do about 3000 miles per year, so longevity is less of an issue.

Would the Mintex be a worth a try or should I save up the extra for the Padgids?

Any experiences with the Padgids versus green stuff would be most appreciated.

Ta ta for now.

I run 1144 Mintex - so much better than std pads. Mainly road use with occ trackdays - if was other way round would def run Pagids. Pagids are twice the price.

1144s seem to last forever - I'm obviously not braking hard enough

There is a front set on e-bay at the moment. Not sure if they are what you want though.
