Elise Sports Tourer

Hi,

I am thinking of buying an Elise and have seen a nice 2001 51 Reg Azure blue Sports tourer for sale. I am very new to Elise's and was wondering what the power is on the car as I don't know the actually model

i.e 111S or 135R etc

Does anyone know? The advert just say 1.8 Sports tourer.

111s didnt come out till 2002 and any 135 cars prior to 2003 will be dealer converted sports tourers or race tech cars

Sports Tourer essentially refers to level of trim, mechanically it is unchanged from the standard model, aside from cross drilled discs. Factory quoted power output is 120bhp.

Azure Blue on a '51 plate S2? - unlikely as it's an S1 colour. More probably the vivid electric blue - Laser Blue OR Cobalt Blue - the dark navy blue.

if you haven't already, check out www.elises.co.uk, there is loads of info there about the various models, press releases, problems, options etc etc. I've read and re-read that site numerous times now, along with a few posts here on PH and at www.seloc.org.

The Elise community seems to be a top bunch of friendly folks.
