Hi All

Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to remove the old nose badge on an S1 Elise? Thanks.

'Simply' pop the front clam off and undo the two bolts which hold it in place....

Sounds like you've bought a nose badge for the Series 2 Elise - they made them in plastic to save money and weight in order to compensate for the cup-holders, central locking, carpets and arm-chair seats....... (And yes, like you I own a REAL Elise.....)

I think it will still fit though. The plastic ones are about 10 pounds, the proper metal & enamel ones are about 50 pounds, both prices brand new and plus VAT. So it may still have been a good buy!!!!!

If you get an S1 badge bolb of silicone on the back, no need for bolts.

A few years back some T*ss*r had ago with a screw driver on the S1 badge left a grove in the clam shell and the badge turned into a V. I replaced it with the tacky S2 badge which faded to a dull yellow.

Bought the S1 article and stuck it on with Hombase silicon (10 year outdoor sealant) Job done.

Any Lotus dealer, I use Stratton in Norfolk, call em up and they post it on: 01508 530491 www.strattonmotorcompany.com

Any bit for the Elise they have and it arrives within two days.

The silicon, Homebase.
