I need to replace my NSF lower wishbone. The vauxhall TIS CD makes the process sound simple, but it doesn't mention how you undo the bolts, on each leg of the wishbone, one side of the nut.bolt combo is hidden by what I guess is the undertray (but may even be floorpan???).

The underside also seems to have a liberal covering of glue also :/

I have some pics if that would help.

Don't try to remove anything with glue on it!!!

The bolt head for the rear part of the wishbone can be seen in the footwell area. Nut is visible on your photo.

On the front you just need to remove the front undertray (under the anti-rollbar and crashbox and between the edge of the clam and the fixed part of the chassis) to access the bolt at the front. Loosening or taking off the anti roll bar might be a good idea.

Then just remove the bolts and then pull the wishbone from the mountings. Take care to note any washers and replace them exactly as they are placed now, including order and orientation!! (some are rubber coated on one side and some are specific thickness)

Bye, Arno.

Thanks, I assume it's the black round covers in the footbaell which go over the wishbone bolts?

Ah.. Yes.. On the VX220/Speedster they put plastic caps over the bolt heads in the footwell..

Your pics look like you only have the car jacked on one side? You will need to lift both front wheels off the ground or the anti roll bar will be in tension and go "sproiiiiinggg" should you manage to get the wishbone bolt out. Nasty if any bits of your anatomy are near it.

And what do all those bolts on the floor (pic 6) hold on?
