Hi Chaps

I was talking to my friendly Lotus dealer yesterday and after collecting some bits for my S1 I deceded to have a look at a S2 - 111S.

So after some thought overnight I have decided that it could be a good idea to go for either a brand new one, or somthing about 12 months old.

I do remember that some time ago, a dealer had a special offer on a new 111S, free servicing or some money off the list price? i'm not sure.

Can anyone throw some light on this?

Cheers

Wako

Hi there,

Was just looking at your post. I have a March 2004 Elise Type 25 111S (only 25 made). It has only 6000 miles on the clock and is immaculate. You would have to look online for the full spec (basically it's a 111S with snazzy paint job and interior, leather seats, central locking and electric windows). I'm thinking of selling it for around £24,000.

I could send you pics and more details if you were interested. Anyhow, good luck with your search.

What sort of 111S are you after?

I know of a dealer soon to be taking in a 5-week/900mile old 111S, as the owner is p/x'ing for an identical 111R.

...... it is remarkably like the 111S in my profile

Always keen to do a 'deal', as an extra incentive Lotus are offering some very good finance packages for Feb & March

I got some stuff through this morning from Lotus going on about their finace deals. Their usual deal, i.e. deposit, £279 PCM plus balloon of circa £14K at 6.5% APR. This was on a new 111S.
Not at all bad.

Do all the deals that are flying around suggest something new is around the corner????

Upgraded 111R / Exige?? or even more unlikely new esprit??

What I do know is all development funds as of now are going into new product, not Elise/Exige (so certainly no S3 version for awhile), make of that what you will!

When I picked up my car last week, the dealer suggested that I write a letter of intent to them regarding the new Esprit..........

......I think he might have heard something we haven't.

It will be interesting to see what engine they decide to go with in the esprit.

I remember reading about the possibility of the 5ltr V8 from the old M5, with addition of turbos!! Think it was autocar some months ago.

Could be a very interesting car if true.

But i guess with the recent toyota link there are may other options.
