Any Cardiff lurkers?

[Mark_B]

Hi Guys and Girls,

Been through my mid-life crisis (hopefully slightly early!) and bought a 111R Magnetic Blue for Xmas.

It looks as if there are a few of us from Cardiff hanging around on the board - care to come forward? Do you guys still meet up in Morganstown? I'm in Cardiff Gate/Pontprennau/J30.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark

I'm from Cardiff and so is Steff. We both have Azure blue S1's.

There are a few others around as well.

Club Lotus still meet at the Ty Nant Inn in Morganstown. Second Thursday in every month about 8.

We also sort out a few runs every now and again around the Brecon area which is definately the way to go if you have an Elise. I will give you a shout when we are having another one.

Where abouts in Cardiff are you?

[steff]

Hello

I reside up in Thornhill/Rhiwbina not to far from young Davey and there's a few S1's around these parts.

I drove through Pontprennau the other week and I saw a silver S2 parked outside someones house - not your old car was it?!

[steff]

Get some pictures posted of your new motor then!

[2bit]

Hello Mark.

I lurk around the Thornhill area too. I got a Silver S1 with red soft top (**** CNY) for xmas.

111R eh?. Nice.

You must have written a nicer letter to Santa than me.

[Mark_B]

Hi Guys,

Been out of town for a few days - thanks for all the replies. I'm in Pontprennau and I'm pretty sure the silver S2 lives just around the corner from me, literally. Must have a walk and try and track down the owner. This is my first foray into anything like an elise - so living a dream but blowing a mortgage! Will keep an eye out for you guys, post pics etc. May be catch up with you at the pub!?

All the best,

Mark

[Mark_B]

Hi Again,

Just been delving into profiles, posts etc to see what dirt I can turn up on you guys - sadly not a lot! 2bit - looks like we almost bought the same car as I drove past the garage on many occasions and was 'encouraged' by friends at work to commit the dirty deed. (Un)fortunately the Devil on my shoulder was whispering louder and after some very nice letters to Santa, my bank mamanger, my mortgage provider and anyone else who knows me ended up with the blue beast. Just had its 1000miler so I guess the best is just about to come!

Cheers,

Mark

Not likely as it looks like you're in on a Friday night!

[Mark_B]

Ouch - Unfair but true! I guess that you had just got home then!? In my defence had I had just got home from Norway though!

Cheers Mark

[steff]

Nope, I have an 8 month old daughter so I'm always in!

I remember the days....

[Mark_B]

Congrats on the new addition to the family. Cannot wait for the 'and just why should I let you see my daughter', 'are you drunk?', 'what do you mean you are on drugs?', 'you're PREGNANT!!!'

OK, OK - temporary holding photo in place to prove the beast is real and I can get out in daylight. As you can see a bit of a squeeze in the garage. Anyway - 111R Magnetic Blue, touring pack & hardtop.

Cheer, Mark

[steff]

Bit of a tight fit.

Or did you climb out and put the roof on afterwards?!

[Badapple]

I reckon we should have a ph cardiff beer sometime, everyone seems 2 live round the same area.

[Davey S1]

*Ok then.

[Mark_B]

[Badapple]
