At last I finally got round to putting the ITG system onto my 111s S2 yesterday. Its been sitting in the box since November! Havnt driven much yet as i only finished at 6pm yesterday, but there seems to be a slightly deeper note on tick over......put your foot down, and my god, there's a monster in the engine bay!!! The G/f definately isnt going to like going in the liz now!

Cant help thinking about a proper 'zorst now??

Nice one windman!

When I had my Hurricane fitted back in December I was amazed at the difference in noise - but only when you want it - not bothered with the sports 'zorst yet, might wait for the standard one to drop off first!!

Good Man!

I fitted an ITG to my 111s before I got my sports exhaust.

Had it fitted 1 week before my first trip to Le Mans and blimey! The noise of the car totally changed.

BTW, get a B&C ss sports exhaust, when warm, they sound bloody marvellous. Combined wih the ITG it's

Oh, get out to Le Mans on 18/19th June in the loti mate, it's the 50th anniversary of Lotus racing there this year... it's going to be v.special.

edit to say: looked at your profile and... snap! Same colour as mine! ENJOY!

never heard of the exhaust you've got....how has it worked with the itg? i've found that since adding the itg, when the right foot goes down hard the noise is thunderous...quite a change!

must admit i fancy doing le mans....have even booked the weekend off from work just in case....is it too late to sort out??

James here:

I'm looking to get the ITG kit on the 111r, I already have a stage 1 exhaust so should sound good and after discussing gains I should just be able to get 200bhp out of it.

Please report back James. I have a 111R arriving early April and am thinking about ways of making it sound (and preferably go) better. Just so long as I can pass noise tests at Bedford and Combe.

Stage 1 Exhaust should pass no probs, it doesnt sound that different from stock, just a lighter weight system.

Stage 2 Sounds the nuts, but will not pass noise tests on some tracks

Will do, I've looked at the Piper X, Reverie and ITG kit. ITG looks the best by far then possibly the Piper/reverie. The stage one exhaust doesn't make any real BHP diff but combined with the ITG it should give an extra 5-7bhp (although a guess) and the ITG has been rolling roaded with std exhaust at 12bhp.

No one as far as I know is doing a turbo kit etc and the std engien is already well tuned. A change to the cam switching position to say 5000rpm would make a big difference and I'm sure that won't be long. That will also gratly improve driveability on the roads..

I'll keep you informed.

I've had the stage 2 fitted on mine and I have to agree that it sounds the nuts!! Am now also looking at the ITG induction kit but am going to wait until the summer before I take the plunge.

Also agree that a re-tune to access the powerband somewhere closer to 5000 rpm would be good.

One other thing, since i've had the stage 2 exhaust, the kick over 6200 rpm seems to be less noticeable. Anyone else noticed this?

Mine's a Bell & Colville ss sports exhaust, once warmed up, its bloody thunderous! Bit pricey though, £600.00 fitted IIRC.Marvelous

If you fancy going to Le Mans, there is a camp site that you can just turn up at and pay 19 Euros for Thurs night to Mon morning.

We're going on Thurs 16th on the Eurotunnel 9:06am, still places if you fancy joining up for a blast through France, some beers, the race, more beers, a headache then another blast back again.

General anmission tickets available on the gate, cost about 70 Euros I think.

Prepare to get absolutely hooked though mate, it gets in your blood.

E mail me if you have any queries, or visit www.clubarnage.com for loads of info, maps etc.

My S2 111S is going to Brooke Kensington in 3 weeks to get ITG fitted along with Larinni sport exhaust and sports cat .

Oh yes indeed can't wait and just in time for Easter weekend. Bring it on.

Hoping to get some power gain as well as noise. Will report back findings.
