Going by the discussion in the "Spotted" posting thought I'd try and find out how many of us are in or around Bournemouth. Dont want/need addresses, just after names.
Could then see about setting up a meet.

So.......

Ok meet on Sunday March 13th? Anyone up for this?
This is a provisional plan and please suggest any changes. Meet in the Pavillion car park at about 10 am, then off to the Bankes arms.

Sounds pretty good, picking the car up on friday 11th so i should be ok. Just got to check the diary.

Just bot back in from the rally, anyone else go, where did you stand?? I was opposite the sharpish right hander in the gardens just in the trees, Did anyone see the drunk wonder onto the stage, removed seconds before becoming an evo hood ornament!! Did take a great deal of pleasure listening to the local nova boys disscusion going on behind me, apparently thier cars/ driving ability is a great deal faster than about half the field in the rally. They also gave a rather good instuctional lecture on the finer point of oversteer/ understeer, and one of thier mates has the next car down in the range from a full works WRC Escort!!!

I wish you could have been there to share with me in the wealth of knowledge.

Now you come to mentiion it......
Some friends and I are planning a summer road trip. Basicall down to the south of France to Monaco. Across to italy to take in some ferrari country, through the alps (I have an obsession with the opening scene of the"Italian Job" ) and then up tothe 'ring....

Basic idea... What is the point of having these amazing cars if you dont use them...

any one here at the rally on sat, saw 3 S1 Elises, a type 49 at somerly, Azure blue and a yellow one up at the later forest stages.

I am already off to the ring as part of a weekend in September, though i will be going around in my brothers Accord Type R, Finalizing dates at the moment but we are aiming for the weekend of the 17th.

Might know someone someone who works in the BIC/ Pavilion. its a good friend of the wife, so i am trying to find out if we can get free access/ use of the car park, will let you know if, and when i hear anything.

Has any one here used floor paint in thier garage??? Am doing this over the next few days in preparation of the liz arriving on the 11th, Any tips/ things to look for to achive the best result?

That Azure blue was myself. I was parked a couple of hundred yards up from the yellow one at the Eblake stage

I used floor paint in my garage. To withstand a car you have to use a 2 pack epoxy stuff. I got it from the Dulux center at £90 a packet!! I baught 2 lots but did not have time to do the second coat.

The floor has to be spotless, dry and reasonably warm.

The garage looks far better for it, I would recommend a darker colour and you will need 2 good coats. I will put the second down in the summer.

Are Westover doing the Castle Coombe days again this year? I tried to organise myself last summer but got too distracted.
