Hi everyone,

Just saying hello, I'm due to pick up my Exige S2 in Chrome Orange next weekend , if all goes to plan with the financing. Replacement for the Z4 (hence title). Hope to meet some of you soon, and of course tap your brains for more advice.

Top choice.

Please make sure you put up a lot of pics when you get the car.

It will probably do nothing for my self resolve though!

Well done - excellent move, although I do quite like the look of Z4's!!

Hope you enjoy it!

Good effort. I want a nice shiny new Exige but instead I have to have a bathroom, kitchen and carpet

Next year however I'm promising myself something very, very fruity to make up for it!

Quick question about speed bumps?

My current work car-park has them, and somewhere I'm thinking of working has them, how high do they have to be to damage the Exige (splitter/undertray/numberplate)?

Also is there a legal limit to height?

Apart from going extremely slowly (and just trying to avoid them) what's the best way to drive over them?

In yesteryear I must have been a hairdresser too as I had one of the lowest MX5 s in the world. Absolute knightmare with speed bumps. Often in one car park I 'd have to get my ladyfriend to get out and walk alonside(no shes not fat!)that tiny bit of weight out of the car used to make the difference. Car parks seem to be the highest you shouldnt have any trouble on the roads though. When I think I might struggle I approach from an angle so only a small part of your splitter has to go over before either your left or right wheel begins to lift the car over the bump. Any way good luck with the new Exige let me know how you get on cause I am in the market for a new car( just cant decide Tuscan,911,s2Exige change my mind like the wind)

I pick my Exige up early next month and had the same concerns about the clearance. Made sure a speed bump was on the test rout just to check.
Taken at a sensible speed it cleared the speed bumps with no problems. You should demand as much from your dealer. Although there are no guarantees that he wont laugh!
