S2 Independent Report?

Any suggestions on who could do an independent mechanical report on a 3 year old S2 (with mods - LSS kit, various other bits) in the Midlands area?

I have seen the advert and it looks very nice. I would be after it if I had sold my own car. I am in the East Midlands so this thread is a great help cheers.
Off topic I am also looking at the VX as well and have found one at a Japanese main dealer, found out from the VX forum that it was written off when 4 months old ! Went to see it yesterday with this knowledge, and was told its HPI clear, one owner and the reason for a speedo change was because there was something wrong with it, no mention of an accident, so be careful out there its a bloody minefield
