I am looking to get an exige, but in the ever struggle for power, one k-series in the family is enough!!!!

So which would you do and why?

Im going to get a S1 and then change the engine

Honda power and supercharge to about 300bhp
Toyota power and supercharge to about 250bhp
VAG 1.8T with a slight increase of power to 350bhp

My thoughts are the VAG engine, coupled with a Sadev 6 speed sequential gearbox

You ever thought of going to turbo technics and supercharging the K series the VHPD when supercharged will happily see 260bhp plus it will be alot cheaper

Ive already gone down the supercharger route and achieved 290bhp.

But they dont last long, the engine was only designed as a 1.2 with about 80bhp, and stressing the engine much further only leads to expensive rebuilds.....mine lasted 36 hours

So thats why I want to use an engine thats not a k-series

out of those options the Supercharged Honda suits the car the best IMO

The TT260 K series is not offered by TT anymore - too many problems keeping them together

It lasted 36 hours that sounds like it was not put together properly then to me.

It was definitely put together well, it was just the charge temps were a little too high.

It did do 260 miles more than it was originally given though

Are the costs of all 3 installs (Honda, Toyota, Audi) the same?

I'd probably go for a honda, although thats the only engine mod I've driven. It was nice though.

Not sure I'd bother super charging it either!
