Hi, a bit confused- some sites (eliseparts) sell a replacement wiper blade for £20 - easy I know.

But Hangar111.com have 2 different types on there for the S2? see link -
www.hangar111.com/shop/limited/products/listelisemk2.htm

They go on about this clamp thing so I need to get the right one! I have an Elise S2 built in March 02.

Anyone know about this?

I found this on ebay today and I'm sure my wiper arm is slightly different - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=27375&item=4540743417&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

The earlier S2's had the same crappy wiper blade and arm as the S1. It is a bar that the wiper blade kinda slides down. The later one arm is the 'normal' U shaped one that you will find on every other car on the road. If you have the U shaped one you should be able to go and get the blade replaced form halfords easy enough. If it is the rubbish early version by the replacement from Eliseparts

Hi, I've been to Halfords and they have no Elise wipers listed. Is the wiper blade the same as any other cars you know of??

Hi, i just let the main dealer change the blade it cost about £25-27 if i remember right. the advantage of this was that the first one they put on was crap so i took it back and they put another one on. i suppose that is £5 to fit one but i'm so crap at things like that it was well worth it

If you have the U shaped hooky bit then a standard 24 (?) inch blade should fit. If in doubt pay the halfords chap £2 to fit it for you, that way you have no worries about opening boxes.
