Hello there all,

Quick bit of advice required of possible. Returning to Elise (S1 Sport 160) ownership after a brief stint with 911’s, and am looking forward to the summer, and some Norfolk B’ Rd’s!

I have acquired with my new car a (perfect/unmarked) spare set of the magnesium Elise race alloys (I believe standard with the Sport 160?).

I have no need for them, and am looking for guidance as to what would be a going rate for selling the set?

About £10.
And at that price, I would obviously be interested in haggling it down to £8, before buying them

£15 offer from me????

For a serious answer, take a look at Seloc. (www.seloc.org)
Without tyres you're looking at about £500, I'd say.

My Sport 350 has techomag wheels (18"). The new price is about £4k a set and I think some sold on ebay a while ago for £2k ish. I'd say £500 was way to low.

Gooby,

Dont think they will fit our 111Rs, although I may be wrong.
Damn, would have helped on the weight reduction.

I think 160s came with 'Victory' 5 spokes, originally manufactured by Technomagnesio but not actually made of magnesium. Only 340Rs had actual magnesium wheels (and then not all) and they are a different design.

Not trying to put anyone off but you have to remember magnesium wheels are not really recommended for road use track wheels they are fine everyday road wheels they break

Hi Guys & thanks for your various 'mixed' :-) responces. I'm hoping to get slightly more than £5, and some magic beans for the whole lot.

The tyres are OK on the wheels, though I'm looking to keep the rears for future use.

I've done some further digging around, they are indeed the Sport 160 Victory Five Spoke's, launched in February 2000. A link to an image can be found at this site http//www.elises.co.uk/ components/s1/wheels/ if any one fancys a look. Thanks Si

Worth about 300-350 quid if they're in good nick.

Pop them on Ebay and put up links here and on Seloc and British Cars.

I recon £500 ish or slightly higher. There are probably a few disappointed people around due to the group buy wheels deal on SELOC going tit5 up who may be interested

Chuck them on e bay and if they are unmarked then you'll see about £500 I would have thought.
