The car is a HPI RTR3 Evo Nitro RS4! I bought it with the Dodge Viper shell on it but ordered the Elise shell from this site here:

www.modelsinmotion.co.uk/product.asp?productid=2467&catCode=479&tamiya=258

Had to paint it and cut it out the shell myself but its really easy.

Just ordered mine!

I'll fit it to my Nitro Fusion 21 which is just about the most mental 1/10th scale car around - 2.1bhp, 0-60 in around 2.5secs, 3 speed gearbox - about 80mph tops. Very difficult to drive and quite easy to spin in a straight line

Hold on. Are you telling me you have R/C cars that do 80mph and 0-60 in 2.5 seconds?

oh yes - that's a scale speed of 800 mph & 0-60 of .25s! I find that I break something most times I drive it - just too fast to control properly.

Pretty noisy too - par for the course with me...

Got the bodyshell this morning - that is quick service for you! Now, what colour? I fancy Chrome Orange or Saffron Yellow

I did, James - great service - and thanks for posting up that link.

I'll post pics when it's done - just the choice of colour now - your Storm Titanium looks good!

Took mine 3 weeks to get to me!! Oh well its here now and I'm happy with it.

I really wanted to spray mine Gunmetal Grey, but this colour was the closest I could find.

Glad I could be of some help anyway

Look forward to the pics of yours.

I would love to get another rc car. it has been years since i used to race my "optima mid". Great car but I want to go for ic now. Any recommendations for stupidly quick, good handling AND easy to repair. Also what are the good engines?

Come & have a look at mine Gooby - I'll have it in the showroom in the next few days.. It's a Nitro Fusion 4wd 21 size motor by Thunder Tigre - revs like hell and sticks out loads of power.

The car is built by Schumacher, so parts are readily available - just as well with my driving!
