Look on Exiges.com. There is a thread about a custom exhaust by Bluflame which looks fantastic and sounds great (there is a link to a sound clip)

Supposed to be inbetween a Stage 1 and 2 but ok for most trackdays but comes with bafflers if you need them.

Ok so I'm confused now...

Local Lotus dealer tells me to go for the Lotus stage 2 as the stage 1 is only a bit louder than standard (hairdryer to vacuum cleaner)? So do I go for the S2 (I don't plan to use the track)? (£550 fitted quoted)! S1 is cheaper but does it sound the biz? (I'm not necessarily after performance, just something that makes the 111R sound better.......

I see that Brooke Kensington and Quicksilver (via Hanger 111) do stainless versions, probably cheaper - are these fit for purpose?

I have a Lotus stage 1 on my 111r. It sounds great, and pops nicely on overrun. My dealer told me that the stage 2 is track-only, which isn't the case (d'oh!), otherwise I'd probably have gone for that.

The only slight problem with the stage 2 is that you might not get through some track's noise tests, as IIRC, it's >100dB. However, if you're not going to track it, you should be fine. I suppose the only other consideration is weight, but I don't know how they all compare.

I would test the Stage 2 before you buy (if you can). Yes, it is much, much louder than the standard exhaust - which is good , and sounds great above 6250rpm.

But, if you are doing a lot of motorway driving, then the 105db drone, can get tiresome ...to the extent that I am thinking of having the standard exhaust temporarily refitted for the round trip from Calais to Le Mans this year!

I have the stage 2 it is very good on 2nd cam and if you cruise at 80ish at just under 4000rpm it is not bad at all. Other plus point is how it looks I was never a fan of the pea shooter thing going on with the standard zaust.

Cheers guys, I have opted for the stage 2 also.
I saw one today....had to have one.

I have been used to a 4.5" straight through Blitz Nur spec exhaust, I think i can manage the little stage 2!!
