The wait is killing me!!

Ok its a nice thing to be waiting for but boy its dragging. Daily visits here are just about keeping me sain!!

The car has left the production line & is now 8th in the que with Mel Broom, with no date being given as to when he'll get onto it

Any idea's how to make the wait easier....??

Yeah, the wait has been tiresome for me - but... I collect the new 111R tomorrow afternoon! As some of you know, I never even took the test drive and based my decision on a drive of a Sport 135 two years ago! I think I'm going to be blown away by the R, at least I hope that's the case!

How do you know your car is in the line?

As you I am reading the posts to relief my wait but I am not sure it improves the thing.......
When the sun is shining and I am driving alone my heavy Volvo, I just feel that the dealer or the company or ?? "steal" my pleasure.

You're in the UK, right? I don't understand the wait - when I bought the 111R the dealer had several on his spreadsheet currently in production and had not been bought - these were 5-6wk delivery times????

Yup in UK. However, they didn't have any running through production in Aubergine + Mel Broom adds about 3 weeks......

The story is
Ordered a 111S mid november (nighfall blue, tan leather), delay was april, told from the beginning.

April: no news, then bankrupcy of rover, phoned the dealer, asked for a change to a R (storm titanium, black leather, seems to be accepted by Lotus ,
and then no more news.
I phoned again, send a mail to Lotus,...Dealer told me "It should be for may...." but I don't know if this is to relax me or really true.

Sometimes depressed as the good days are there and I sell my Esprit before the winter (when ordering...blabla)
