Elise and the for ever present Stone chips

I started a thread a month or so ago, about how poor the paint on the nose of the car was standing up, to what I considered normal wear and tear.
Thankfully peoplpe suggested getting in contact with Lotus, direct, which I did.
The current scenario is, 6 month old 111R, Magnetic Blue, with 4300 miles.
Lotus Field Tech came out to Westovers today and inspected the car. They have agreed that it can be resprayed under warranty. However only the Nose section, not the whole front clam. Not a total result, but a pretty good one.
So some information for everyone. The Lotus Field Tech uses the following standard. If the paint around the stone chip can be scrapped of using your finger nail then the paint has not stuck to the body work correctly and there is a fault.
So if you have any concerns of your own car, then try it. If paint comes off, take it down to your local Dealer, to get it inspected.
