I love summer because I can get the roof off the Elise for a decent length of time and enjoy a fantastic blat.
I hate summer because f***ing hayfever hits my eyes so badly I have to put the roof back on and wind the windows up just to I can see whilst driving.

Anyone else suffer? How do you cope?

on a related topic, does anyone else get heaps of flies etc in their eyes when the roof is off?

I wear sunglasses a lot when the roof is off, but often drive at night with the roof off too.

I'm tempted to get clear wraparound shooting glasses but I'd look like a right berk.

Anyone any suggestions?

Thanks Chris - very helpful Did consider a gas mask for next year actually!

No joke - here's what I current take as prescribed:
Anti-histamine eyedrops, Fucithalmic for conjunctivitus, some antibiotic for infection, and Clarityn.

And I can't wear shades as I have to wear glasses whilst driving.

No that I'm one to complain, mind!

I look like a real beauty in 'The Beast'!

Don't suffer from hay fever fortunately, but I did get my local optician to re-glaze a pair of Oakleys with 'scrip lenses.

I have the same issues... and this is being debated at length on SELOC too at the moment!

I use NeoClarityn + Boots own nasal spray. Works brilliantly. See your pharmacist if what you're using doesn't work. Some combinations work better than others (my ex was a pharmacist and she worked out what was best for me with a little trial and error - brilliant!).

As for the glasses. I reckon clear lenses isn't berk territory - no worse than wearing them on a bike! Also Rich, if you have problems why not consider investing in some prescription sunnies or do what I did and get contact lenses... have never looked back since I got mine. Takes a few days to get used to but they are superb

Thanks for the advice Tim, seriously considering laser eye surgery later on the year. Just imagine - changing TV channels just by blinking, cutting through mild steel with your eyes like a knife through butter....

...Or am I getting confused here.
