I bought a shower cape at the show at Donnington. Came to use it today and can't make sense of it. I worked out that a loop slips over the aerial, and then two tiny plastic toggles fit into the holes where the roof normally tightens, but it seens the tension is then achieved through 2 adjustable velcro straps around the wing mirrors and two pads, one of which snugs up behind the wiper. All seems a bit weak to me, and any amount of water would 'pool' on the top. I was thinking of putting padded plastic hooks where the tiny toggles are as they look like they will pull out, and adding some strong elastic to the velco on the wing mirros to give some proper tension.

Any more ideas?

A lot of people stick a roof bar across. Your ideas sound sensible though. Lots of ppl on SELOC have them - tried on there?
