Been out in the car virtually all weekend ending up with a truly epic 230 mile blast today through Brecon, Ellan Valley, half of Mid Wales then home again.

The roads surprisingly really quiet apart from all the usual bikers who were good for a few tussles.

The Exige is just awesone. Really getting to know it now following the running in and its just so much faster than the S1. The accelaration and cornering force are just huge.

Where has everyone else been this weekend?

I went to get some fish and chips on Saturday, reached 30mph at one point on the straight.

The family taking up too much time and how the sun has shined today as well...

Had a fantastic blast up the A697 towards the Scottish Borders before cutting across to Bamburgh and heading back home down the coastal route. Roads here were also very quiet, had the road to myself most of the time .

On a sad note, this may be the last good drive I have for a while, cos someone is coming to look at the car tomorrow. Really not sure if I’m doing the right thing by selling it, especially after such a good drive today. However, I’m starting my own business and my head says I need something more practical, but my heart says to keep. I very much doubt small children wave at you and shout ”nice car” as you drive past in a Volvo

I know what you mean mate. I lost count of the number of admiring looks / points / waves / thumbs up I got today.

Try and keep it if you can.

Nice one Davey - sounds brilliant fun. I was in and out of it all weekend.

Too many numptie 40mph Sunday nose-pickers as usual, but they are dispatched into the rear view mirror so much more easily now with the S160.

I'm getting much more used to keeping it right on the cam on fast B Roads, heel & toeing as I come up behind someone to keep it right on the edge of the powerband so it takes off like a rocketship just when you need it.

Also did my first tunnel this weekend - Cuilfail near Lewes - which had me laughing like an idiot for about 15 mins afterwards.

Runs this weekend? Yeah... all sunday... had a vindaloo saturday night!

Hehe actually, I managed to dodge the rain and cold (Mid-winter New Zealand here) for a couple of hours and used it as an excuse to blast out some back-roads with the lady out to Piha Beach, Lion-Rock and Karekare. Took a few snaps too, which can be found HERE

Shoulda snapped some more pics, but was too busy climbing up fagging big hills.... it's the first pics that exist of my Lotus not in the garage either.... damn short rainy midwinter days

Bob

The South Wales Club are doing a run to North Wales in late September. I wont be there unfortunately (due to a stag do) but there may be a 240R there instead

Nope country roads and small villages.

No point wasting any time trundling through the city centre.
