Last few days i have had a recouring problem with my liz. She runs just fine for a while then all off a sudden the temp gauge starts to drop out untill there is no reading and then the engine starts hunting. Yesterday it came and went but today a continued untill i stopped the car.

Went down to westovers this morning and were great, the took the car in and plugged it into the diagnostic computer and guess what, nothing wrong, so battery disconected so the systems reset, then checked everything and again, no problem, so feeling happy drove home and then it came back again.

Any ideas, or have you had a similar experiance, the lads at the garage think either an ECU problem or even a loose earth cable connection.

So i will be down at the service centre tommorrow morning getting it checked again, really hopeing that shes easy to fix as runs planned this weekend.

Big praise to the lads at Westovers who came and looked at the car there and then, just goes to show great service yet again, cheers guys.

They did mention putting a new ecu in and seeing if it helps, i did suggest putting a toyota or honda engine in but the y said my warrantee did not cover this!!!!

Am at home tonight as well.
